Lou,I really enjoyed the article and completely agrre with your observations especially about Tommy Rees being the best quaterback on the team.I also agree that Golson should remain the starter.I have a question I hope you can answer.Watching the games on NBC.it is hard to see how Golson has handled being pulled from the games against Purdue and Michigan.Have you noticed whether he stays engaged with the team does he help Rees like Tommy helps him? Thanks in advance for your response.

Lou. you are so correct about us having to find some sort of running game. I realize that once our qb.s start making some plays downfield this might open things up. but we need to get some movement up front and take control of the line of scrimmage. A great win tho, and I am starting to believe a 10-11 win season is possible.

Why are we not seeing more running plays specifically designed for Golson, possibly some misdirection that maybe takes advantage of the running ability we think he posesses, but we have rarely seen?

From what I remember on the first play and Golson's first pick, Brown was open by 2 or 3 steps. Was there a safety over the top of him? If not, if Golson leads him, that's a touchdown

Lou; to your point above coordinators becoming head coaches, what are your thoughts about Greg Mattison not becoming a head coach. Mattison has always been, I feel a great DC,yet I don't know if he has ever looked at a head coaching job. Willingham make a big mistake not making him the DC and moving him down to d-lne coach, then I think Weiss made a big mistake letting him go. With his backgound and what he has done I would have thought he would have become a head coach. Mattison is the main reason ND had trouble on offense last night I think.

65too Well it looks like BK fooled both of us a little,as you said he did start Wood , but the first play was a pass, should have run it. I do believe he was trying to soften up the defense the 1st half with some passing, just didn't really get it done. He surprised me not running Theo more in the first half.

Palazotto.....can't let that go. I'm as happy as anyone when we win and Rees helps, BUT, someone who can't stretch the field with his weak arm and can't run or have any mobility isn't the best QB on this team. Wake up! If he had started either the Purdue or Mich St games, we would have a loss.

One other thing that I think we need to do is find a way to get our best player more involved. For Eifert to have 0 catches against MSU and only 1 catch which was on the final drive of the game is insane. If his numbers were that low based on drops or poorly thrown balls that is one thing. But he isn't ever receiving the targets.

Notre Dame's defensive ends stayed in their lanes,limted Denard Robinson making big plays.
Notre Dame answering Michigan field goals,with a Brindza fg,final drive 2 key first downs to run out the clock.

"He was real supportive. He was showing me some things that he could see, and he couldn't have been more positive ... I didn't know him all that well before spring ball and camp, but he is a great kid, and he has high character. Lou, can you please PLEASE ask Kelly about the possibility of switching back to more of a pulling, trapping, and power run game scheme of last year, rather than the zone blocking scheme that has been totally ineffective this year?
