Cincinnati Winton Woods defensive tackle Daniel Cage picked Notre Dame over Michigan State.
Cincinnati Winton Woods four-star defensive tackle Daniel Cage has signed with Notre Dame, choosing the Irish over his other finalist Michigan State.
247Sports received word that Cage made his decision on Monday evening.
Cage’s coach Andre Parker confirmed that the letter of intent was signed for Notre Dame on Wednesday morning with Blue & Gold Illustrated’s Tom Loy.
Ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the nation’s No. 24 defensive tackle, the 6-3, 295-pound Cage is commit No. 23 for the Irish in the class of 2014.
Cage took his official visit to South Bend with his parents last Wednesday. Recruited by Mike Elston, he is the seventh defensive line commit for Notre Dame in the class of 2014.
Notre Dame has 17 four-star commits in the class of 2014.
Other schools to offer Cage included Louisville, Missouri, Cincinnati and Florida.
