Freshman guard Demetrius Jackson has averaged 6.1 points per game this season for the Irish.
Prior to the start of Tuesday’s home matchup against Clemson, Notre Dame announced that freshman guard Demetrius Jackson would not be in attendance.
The program would not provide a reason for Jackson’s absence, but added that head coach Mike Brey would address the “situation” following the conclusion of the game.
The Mishawaka native arrived at Notre Dame in the fall as a four-star recruit and the No. 49 overall prospect nationally according to 247Sports. Despite starting for most of the season, Jackson is averaging just 4.6 points per game in conference play and has shot 39 times in 11 ACC contests.
Fellow freshman guard Steve Vasturia has started in his place in recent games.
