Forget recognizing the class. Can he read, write and speak English or not? That should be pretty easy to figure out.
His quotes above, if not doctored, read better than most kids on the bubble of entering college.

i read this morning in SBT that he hasn't heard yet and will have to wait until the fall to enroll. i think thats how it read anyway,lol. Wes, any help here?

Still trying to get in contact with Katenda, who told me over the weekend that he had until maybe as late as Tuesday to get this figured out. However, he might have gotten an indication from the NCAA Monday that it would take longer than that. As soon as I hear something from him, I will post an update.

Katenda just texted me that he hasn't heard back from the NCAA Clearinghouse and that "it seems like I will stay here and take summer classes just to make sure I get all the credit I need."
This isn't devastating news, but it would have been mutually beneficial for Katenda to be on campus during the summer, not only in terms of basketball, but to get acclimated with college academics. He is an extremely hard worker and should be just fine coming to campus in August.
