Four-star LB Alex Anzalone was scheduled to return to Notre Dame this weekend, but has decided to cancel the visit.

After reporting to BlueandGold.com on Thursday afternoon that some details were still being worked out about a weekend trip to ND, LB Alex Anzalone has decided to cancel it.

Move on... let this kid go...he is another confused kid...I would go after the other choices and get one of them and then pull his offer...don't have that many openings left to deal with this 90% decommitt...

If he doesn't get back to campus eventually he is gone. But if we can get him back we could have a shot to wrap him back up. But its time to start looking at other options.

I have another perspective. It's not like ND stopped taking to Saviinea (sp?) since Anzalone's commitment, and he knows that. I don't blame the kid for feeling a little dissed. This is simply a case where the staff is couring two players at the same position in hopes that one or the other comes. This is something that may have been learned from last year's issue with that DB from Maryland. There is nothing wrong with either party's actions so far.

Not digging the way he's conducting himself throughout this one. His parents should be taking a lot of blame in not telling him what it means to commit to a school.
That being said, we should drop the kid -- take the Brady Hoke approach and no longer consider him a commit.
