Notre Dame released its first depth chart for Week One against Navy Sunday afternoon, but not before a series of twists and turns at several key positions.

- ESPN.com’s Matt Fortuna went digging around Everett Golson’s roots to trace his path from scout team quarterback to Saturday’s starter.

- Theo Riddick and George Atkinson III have to answer the bell after senior Cierre Wood was suspended for two games, says Evan Hilbert from CBSSports.com.

A handful of former Irish players and coaches are getting adjusted to new roles this month.
