To each his own. I'm not a fan.

I don't like his level of competition, I'm not impressed by his offer list (a better judge of a player's worth than stars) and I don't like his speed at all. He can return punts in high school -- that's great. But he doesn't do it against top competition and I question his much of an impact he can make returning punts against people who are faster and more athletic than him.

I cover high school sports for a living and I've seen a lot of kids return punts against bad competition that wouldn't be able to do it against Miami or Oklahoma. I have questions about how he'll adjust to playing against Notre Dame's level of competition, that's all. If he proves me wrong, then great for him. I'm not ashamed of being proven wrong.

His coach can say he's a stud, but I cover coaches at 12 schools who say their players are studs -- that's kind of their job. I'm allowed to not be sold on someone, just like you're allowed to be 100% sure he's a stud. We'll see how he pans out, but I have my doubts.

Also, I don't call you names. If you disagree with me, then state your case. We're not children -- leave the clowns out of it, eh?

Judging a kids abilities because of the level of competition (not his fault) and the fact he didn't have an offer sheet filled with SEC schools.... Those are GREAT reasons to think a guy isn't going to be any good. You've never seen the kid play other than maybe a what YouTube clip? The HS level in VA where he played is highly underrated. I played vs. Heath Miller(Pittsburgh Steelers) Thomas Jones (Pro Bowler and All Time ACC leading rusher) and Julius Jones (ND stud also a NFL performer. All these guys were told the same thing....Just because a kid isn't from Texas or Florida doesn't mean he isn't going to be good...I'm not calling you names but those reasons are ignorant. I'm not saying the kid is a pro bowler but before you "don't like" a kid make sure you have valid reasons that he won't be a productive player at ND. It's guys with your mentality that gives guys in this area chips on their shoulders. So keep up the good work!

We all know Goodman was back there to field the ball, not run with it. I hope BK gives this kid a shot and we reap the benefits.

Good question. Let's at least give him a chance before we "dislike him".

I am sure much time will be spent on the return game this spring. With all the speed ND will have next year at the skill positions, I rest assured there will be vast improvement.
