The Irish Get Their Man

Tarean Folston gives Notre Dame 12 Top247 commits in the class-of-2013.

Top247 running back Tarean Folston has committed to Notre Dame, according to 247Sports National Analyst Gerry Hamilton, who is on hand at the Under Armour All-American Bowl where the Cocoa (Fla.) High standout let his intentions be known.

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Folston chose the Irish over his other finalists Oregon and South Florida.

Folston is the 22nd commit for Notre Dame in the class-of-2013. He is ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 9 running back, and the country’s No. 115 prospect overall according to the 247Composite.

Recruited by Tony Alford, Foston was at the top of Notre Dame’s board, and he joins fellow Sunshine State blue-chipper Greg Bryant as the second running back in this Irish class.

As a senior, Folston rushed 222 times for 1,722 yards and 16 touchdowns. He had another two scores receiving. He talks about his decision here with 247Sports National Analyst Gerry Hamilton.
