Where does Notre Dame stand with four-star junior running back Stanley Williams following his Saturday visit to South Bend.

Based on what we're told, and now confirmed with the prospect directly via Rusty Mansell, Williams never made the visit to Notre Dame despite recapping the trip with multiple sites, including BlueandGold.com.

Looks like the original information I had was right...
As you'll see in my report, it was "doubtful" he was going to make it.
There were reports that surfaced that he ended up taking the trip and I had Will Biggers give him a call. Where, as you can see, the kid proceeded to give quotes on how the visit went.
But checked on it -- and he in fact did not make it to Notre Dame this weekend.

247Sports national analyst Rusty Mansell dropped Stanley Williams a line to see if he made it out to Notre Dame and he replied, "No sir."
Things will likely get interesting real fast for this kid in his recruitment...

Stanley Williams has sent in a request that the story be taken down -- too late at this point with the way the headline has been picked up, but it is off of the homepage considering the nature of the report.
But we're looking to gather some details from him in regards to an explanation as to why he chose to fabricate details of a visit to Notre Dame.
