33k Traveling to Ireland to watch the Irish play...

And this is why we are not irrelevant, lol! Actually I think this news is bigger than just the Irish. I think this news will impact more than just college football. The impact I think this could have will ultimately effect the NFL. Here is why:
The NFL is looking to grow their international audience.
The NFL has long considered placing a franchise overseas.
If the NFL's audience is watching the Super Bowl from home, does it really matter where it's played?
Depending on ND's TV ratings for this game, I suspect this could alter the places that league games are played in many sports. This is why ND is ND. They are cutting edge, it's why they have fans everywhere, and people will follow. Just last year ND was hoping for 25k fans to go overseas, now we are at 33k, and I suspect that number will be much larger when the game is actually here.

Might be getting ahead of yourself here. I'm fairly certain last year's Notre Dame/Navy game drew a 1.1 or 1.2, which I believe was a record low for Notre Dame football on NBC.

If I could find a fairly cost efficient 3day trip or something over there I'd definitely jump on the chance to take a vacation and watch my IRISH play. But, I haven't really found anything in my budget right now. 60in TV isn't so bad though lol. GO IRISH!
