Star ratings are overrated. Matt Ryan and Sam Bradford were both 3 star highschool QB recruits, and they both play on Sundays now. Player development is what counts.
Hence why Stanford was a top 5 team last year without any 5 star recruits on the roster. The majority of their recruits were 3 stars, with some 2 stars. The thing is Jim Harbaugh knew how to develop talent.
I think BK does too, just look at our lines and backs. Don't get so hung up on star ratings, trust that the person on the field is the best equipped for the job.

Let's take a look at what each player brings to the table
2 months of collegiate football experience
faster (by the slightest margin) straight line speed
probably less arm strength, but comparable
1 year 2 months of collegiate football experience
Twice the elusiveness of Gunner
Better arm in both accuracy and strength
Keeps the ball in our possession (judging by the fact that he only threw 20 some interceptions in his 4 year high school career)
compare these two highlight videos and tell me who you really think should start, there is no question it is Golson
Run the ball.
Stop the run.
You win, or lose, up front.
