It is hard to imagine a worse fit for ND than the Big 12 -- all big land-grant state schools of middling academic rank, almost no national prestige, low regard for graduation rates, minimal interest in educating athletes. Besides, who wants to build closer relationships with Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas? Makes no sense.
Most of all, I trust Jenkins and Affleck-Graves to steer ND away from this kind of calamity.

My first choice for a conference would be the ACC if we make a move.

Really? I thought Jack and the big 12 commissioner agreed in principle to have ND join in olympic sports.

I am just saying you guys are giving them no credit for what they have been doing these recent years. They are getting better and better. With ND and other ACC teams coming, they will end up better then the ACC.

When choosing an ATHLETIC conference, why does it matter what academic performance the schools have in that conference? Their academic performance will have absolutely zero affect on what ND does/requires on it's campus. I don't get why people care about the "fit" academically.
