Big Picture

  • Look at the positives. We will likely sign 17 tomorrow, maybe 16. In the end, they all want to be here. Focus on who we have as opposed to who we don't. It will be a top 15 class that MUST be developed.

    Here is the bonus. We got Eifert and Teo for one more year. Those 2 commitments are worth two 5 stars any day of the week.

    Another bonus - we got Amir to transfer from USC and we have another player returning from his mission trip.

    Whatever room is left will go to 5th years who will play important role.

    All in all - the state of the union is pointing upward,

    I totally agree... It is just too bad so many slipped through the cracks and we end up the bridesmaid... Hopefully we win next year and we are able to hold on to the early commits and close the deal on some of the high profile late ones... Not being relevant on signing day does take a lot of the fun out of it

  • I agree with OP(and Prestwood supplement). We only missed on 1 bigtime CB in the event we dont get BP or DN. Thats not all bad. Plus, before we stray too far, I sense that BJack has a lil chip on his shoulder and is ready to step into big shoes next year at CB to prove wrong those who doubted our secondary.

    But I do feel that our backs are slightly against the wall this coming year. ND will need to actually post a couple good wins in order for us to put together a top 10 or better class next year.

    But yes, job well done for Feb 1. And Feb 2 will be just another day for everyone to continue to pull that rope in the same direction.
