Brady Quinn Battling In Kansas City

  • It's always a battle to hang on in the NFL.

Brady Quinn battling Ricky Stanzi for Chiefs job | NFL.com

The Chiefs are set at QB with Matt Cassel, but there is still drama to be gleaned from the depth chart. Brady Quinn and Ricky Stanzi are in a closely watched, hotly contested fight for the second spot.

  • i'm all for quinn. wonder if he ever texts cw for a little helpful advice? maybe share some bbq and brewskis there in kc. i still think he has the stuff to get it done. but like any qb, it sure helps if you have the right kind of team and supporting cast to succeed......

Run the ball. Stop the run. You win, or lose, up front.

  • I would love for Quinn to have some success in the NFL.

Amen to that. He seems to not be hitting on all cylinders in the NFL. Maybe speed of game. Maybe increased accuracy requirements beyond his capability? I don't know.

But would be nice if it all started clicking for him.

  • Brady has never gotten the fair shake since he entered the NFL with Cleveland, they played a 80-20 run first offense and never let Brady throw the ball more than 10yards downfield. Hopefully in Kansas City with a great young defense, a stud running game and up and coming wide-outs he gets a fair shake and solid chance at winning the starting gig. I haven't seen anything from Cassel since he left New England. I definitely think he has the tools to be a better pro than JimmyC.

Keep in mind Brady in Kansas City is playing for the same head coach he played for in Cleveland.

My luck w/the Irish 18-6...GO IRISH!!!

  • i feel bad for him going to the browns i remember a game he was throwing the ball to braylon edwards and the guy kept dropping the ball it was making me sick he needs to get a chance tho i would take Brady over cassel what does KC got to lose.

That is true, but its not the same piss poor management that was hanging over Crennel while he was in Cleveland. Nor does the talent those Cleveland teams had, compare to the talent KC has on both sides of the ball. It'll be interesting but I hope he gets the chance to do more than hold onto a clipboard.
