I truely believe he has our program turned around. He has started in the trenches. You need those big guys if you want to win on a consistant basis. We have a great group of athletes currently on the roster, some coming in, and more committed. Now having 2 first round draft picks (congrats Floyd and Smith) can only help his cause with the recruits. People like to bring up the 'purple face' incident, but he was probably trying to win so bad, that he lost his cool. I am sure he learned a huge lesson from that. I am sure we will see a little bit more reserved BK from now on. Now he knows the camera is always on you at ND. With Floyd coming back, and now Te'o and Eifert returning, it doesn't help the cause of those saying he's bad for the players. Why would your best players come back if they are already good enough to be drafted? Because he isn't as bad as some make him seem. They want to win. They are there every day. They see what is going on. They want to be a part of it. I am really looking forward to this season and beyond. BK has us back. His coaching staff is doing an awesome job. Collectively, they can recruit with anybody. I can't wait for ND to be back on top of CFB, right where we belong.
How awesome would it be for the final regular season game...#1 USC vs #2 (and undefeated) ND. Maybe I should ease up a little on the kool-aid today, but it's tasting really good. GO IRISH!!!!

I really hope you are right... knowing in my heart his offense is gimmicky and does not work at ND... but i have only said that last 3 years... need power O run the ball 25-30 times a game with a focus on knocking people out... his personality is to be the smart scheme-r who pitches around the field all day long...

I think he will do it eventually but who knows if that will be as quickly as the masses want.

Not that I disagree with your contention that a power running game is essential, but I've always been bemused by the that three things can happen when you pass and two are bad.
When you think about it, three things can happen when you run, and two of them are bad: You can gain yardage, you can lose yardage (or have zero gain) or you can fumble.
That comment about passing also occurred during the 1960s, when the rules advantages were for the defense, including chucking at the line of scrimmage or defensive linemen allowed to head slap offensive linemen on pass rushes. The passing attack was not nearly as advanced as now.

Remember, that was said by "3 yards and a cloud of dust" Woody Hayes, a coach who never met a pass he liked. Problem with his philosophy though, was that if followed, he always faced 4th and 1.
