CRIST FIFTH YEAR

  • Yes, he has been star-crossed at ND. Would like to see him get a clean re-start somewhere. Maybe at Florida with CW . . . or maybe at Wisconsin a la Russell.

Lou's caveat about the new school needing to have a graduate major not available at ND is rather empty. Big universities all have plenty of curriculum majors not available at Notre Dame. Crist would have no trouble identifying a course of appropriate study for his master's.

    I wish him well!

  • Honest question. Why would Florida, Wisconsin, or any top tier program decide that Crist is the direction they want to go in? I understand coming out of HS the desire to land him, but there is now a track record of very average performance. Dayne seems like an exceptional young man and I hope he has lots of success in whatever he does, but I just can't understand what others see that I'm missing.

  • He should go somewhere where he will really stand out and he'll be able to pick apart defenses. Go to Delaware or something like that.

No one wants to admit that a 5-star Cali QB from Notre Dame with such outstanding character is a bust on the field.

I don't believe that a top tier program will start him. He'll probably want to be closer to home, but that's not a guarantee. I can see him playing one year at a school that throws A LOT like Tulsa... or Houston perhaps? Maybe Hawaii?

  • he can only go to a school that offers a grad program that ND does not offer. Good luck!!

Along with what others are saying... why in the hell would Florida or Wisconsin want Dayne Crist at this point in his career? The guy is not gonna be a starter at a top-tier program. If he does, then I must not know anything about football.
