Brian Kelly is the third Notre Dame coach to take a No. 1 ND team to the L.A. Coliseum in his third season.
Ara Parseghian's No. 1 Irish in 1966 crushed No. 10 USC 51-0 to clinch the national title.
Lou Holtz's No. 1 team in 1988 won 27-10 at No. 2 USC even though the Trojans were 4.5-point favorites and Holtz had suspended his leading rusher (Tony Brooks) and receiver (Ricky Watters).

Kelly will have the Irish focused, like they have been all year. Especially on the road. I look for the Irish to control the tempo and wear down the Trojans. Kelly will make it 3 for 3.
Agree. We will control the game by 2nd quarter. We have a smothering D, and they won't have an answer. Especially with Kiffen in control. 2 TD victory at least. Go Irish!!!!!

I think the key will be to weather the initial "storm". My guess is that USC will work themselves up for this game, Barkley or not. The key will be to maintain control during the first quarter. I don't think the confidence and resolve of this years USC team is high enough to handle a long, physical game.
I want this game so bad i can taste it. We need to beat these guys.
