According to Vaughn McClure, the Chicago Tribune's Chicago Bears writer, Cierre Wood is still a little peeved about taking a backseat in the Irish offense this year. Wood had only four carries for eight yards in the national title game against Alabama.

McClure tweeted Friday: "Former ND RB Cierre Wood still ticked by his lack of touches in the national title game.Tells me it only motivates him going into the draft."

Most Notre Dame players have also fielded questions about Manti Te'o at the draft. Wood's response was the most entertaining we've heard thus far.

"It's like me telling you, `I just bought a pet monkey.' You're going to be like, `So. Who cares?'" Wood told McClure. "(Te'o) told us about his girlfriend, but it's not like I'm going to be, `What's her SS number, where does she live, what does her mom do?''
