Weather you like to admit it or not. The Football Coach at ND is paid to WIN and WIN Big. I was taking the over and under to be 4 years from today for a total of 7 years and not 4 years total.
Davie, Weis, and Ty all had winning records all graduated 95% plus of the kids and all got fired for their performance.
You can point out that fact that Standifier didn't take spanish but Kelly recruited him.
You can point out that Perkins got arrested last week but he had a ND offer and was committed to the program.
If losing EV wasn't a big deal how come Kelly didn't let him out of his NLI?
As for Golson how many kids get busted for cheating and get to stay in school?
A lot of people felt Moss was the lynch pin for Lou leaving in 1996. Kelly is only go to take so much of "No's" before he gets fed up and leaves.
Davie, Weis and Ty did not win on Kelly's level at this stage of their careers. As a matter of fact not many at ND have. Weis went 3-9, 7-6, 6-6 with some pretty good talent on offense. Ty killed this programs recruiting and Davie was well the guy who followed the legend. Kelly recruits a lot of people but Standifer did not do what was required of him. It is not like they got to the signing and said so we forgot there is a Spanish requirement. Oops.....Perkins as I am sure Lou can point out was an awkward situation. He was never a fit for ND BUT he played in their backyard but we also pulled out on him because of some issues. I am glad he is not in South Bend doing home invasions. If you want to root for kids that are not the kind of kids that should be in South Bend well I suggest you look towards Columbus, Los Angeles, the whole state of Florida. As for the NLI, come on you cannot be serious. He didn't let him out because it is an agreement that is held with high regard and if one kid gets a pass then all kids get a pass. With Golson, really? Really!? Apparently NO kids get busted more than once and stay at Notre Dame without a suspension. Randy Moss was a good kid trapped in a troubled kids body. So Notre Dame should allow a kid that is involved in a racially motivated fight in school and gets 30 day suspended jail sentence attend the school? Also did I mention he failed a drug test while serving 30 day jail sentence which violated his probation. Florida St. who took him because Lou referred him also removed him from his schollie. And that is saying something. If ND takes all these kids just because they can catch or run a football then they are no better than the rest of the programs. I do not want that and if you do then cheer elsewhere.
You're completely off base.
You realize Brian Kelly is the one who recruited Standifier, EV, Perkins, and not me. Who said I wanted to root for these kids? Kelly recruited them and supposedly all had issue's with admissions. I'm sure Kelly would loved to have all of them in South Bend or maybe you think Kelly just waste's his time on recruits that he doesn't want.
According to Bob Chmiel the ND recruiting Coordinator at the time Randy Moss was released from his scholarship because he filled out the app in crayon. not because of some BS fight.
You pretend that Kelly is some Saint thats fine, but lets not forget his staff is still talking to Nathan Starks. Kelly is concerned about winning and nothing more. Under CW Rashon Powers Neal got a DUI and booted out of school for a semester ending his football career. Under CBK Flyod gets a DUI (which isn't his first alcohol related offense) and he doesn't miss a game.

You want a sure way to make Kelly's job harder by scaring recruits and giving other teams something to use. Keep posting threads like this and feed the rumor mill.
You're swaying really far to the opposite of "BK is a saint", and in ways that don't make much sense. The truth is somewhere in the middle.
1) There will always be borderline cases in recruiting whether with academics or character. It's the staff's job to determine if its worth the risk (and the player has the talent) to bring them in. Figuring this out is not easy, especially when you're judging 18 year olds (who are now quasi-celebrities) that you spend little time with in person, only a few visits a year. You have to recruit these borderline cases, and then when it gets serious or to the point of commitment evaluate if they meet the requirements or not.
Look at Jamel James last year. He was recruited, committed, and ultimately then wasn't able to get up to where the staff told him he needed to be on the academic side and wasn't a take. There's nothing wrong with this, in fact its a great example of the work you need to put in to be successful in recruiting.
2) If Kelly was concerned about "winning and nothing more" why would he even bother coming to Notre Dame? Why choose to deal with stricter admissions, consequences for student athletes, and academic requirements? It's much easier to win at a lot of other programs, and with much less pressure. He chose this job knowing the challenges and said as much at his opening press conference.
3) The Rashon Power Neal vs. Michael Floyd punishment has nothing to do with Kelly - those decisions are made by ResLife and always have been. The difference has to do with the timing and shifting in ResLife policies, same as Kyle McAlarney getting suspended a season for marijuana vs. many other athletes (in many sports) that haven't faced as strict of penalites.
I know who recruited them, but they didnt qualify so no go. As for Moss are you serious? Do your research not post some ridiculous story.....you pretty much should visit TOS. Here I will do thr research for you... http://books.google.com/books?id=aTHuPTqicqcC&pg=PA16&lpg=PA16&dq=randy+moss+arrested+and+booted+from+ND&source=bl&ots=PbC5vujdbU&sig=W1WPj7Q2xEMIv7tJjkDwrHa6enI&hl=en&sa=X&ei=IESxUZyuBcjMyQHOg4FI&ved=0CEAQ6AEwCQ
Didn't say he failed about 10 drug tests? We could always be the same level as LSU
3 time POTW
He don't care
Gringo Mafia Director Of Literary Pugilistic Affairs/Davejlewis tried to drink me once/Danny Meyer is my man crush/1 time POTW
I don't need to visit a site, Bob Chmiel is the person who told me why Randy was not admitted to ND and it wasn't because of the fight. Maybe Bob was lying but I'd believe that over a booked Randy paid someone to write.

"On March 23, 1995, Moss backed a friend in a hallway fight against a white student who had allegedly used racist comments towards Randy's friend. Moss was initially charged with a felony for kicking the student, but it was later reduced to a misdemeanor. On August 1, 1995, Moss pled guilty to two counts of misdemeanor battery and was sentenced to 30 days behind bars at the South Central Regional Jail in Charleston, West Virginia. He served 3 days in jail starting that night and would be required to serve the remaining 27 days within the following 18 months, after he completed his freshman year in college. Moss was expelled from DuPont and completed his education at Cabell Alternative School."
Also, I have seen you post this in many threads and I have also seen Lou post exactly what I am saying either way Randy was not a player that should have attended Notre Dame. Even if he is one of the top 3 wide receivers in NFL history.
I also doubt people are telling you anything.
