According to a Notre Dame spokesman Lynch will transfer to another school following the spring semester.

This one hurts. Bad.
My luck with the Irish: 4-5, 3-time POTW
Anyone that followed his recruitment should not be surprised by this.
Sorry to hear it, but we're far beyond the point where Aaron's talent justifies his divisive effect on the team. If a Notre Dame degree holds no appeal for him, there are easier paths to the NFL.

Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
Recruitment is one thing. Transfers are another. Once a recruit signs a LOI, I think most can breathe a sigh of relief. Very few, especially those with NFL potential, would want to sit out the necessary year in order to transfer. This stuns me, and I followed his recruitment.

Doesn't matter if he has to sit out a year. He's league eligible once he's 3 years removed from HS. I think he's good enough to miss a year, play his junior year and still get drafted high.
I bet he goes to Florida State or Ohio State
Good luck to him.
If everything going forward is smooth, I think that you are correct.
Didn't know that. Thanks for the info. But apparently, he can't be drafted by a cold weather team. He needs to be in the Florida sunshine. That might hurt his stock a little bit.
I'm never like this. But I'm REALLY bitter right now.
Bulls 247 says South Florida is the likely destination...
Well this is horrible. Im guessing our front 3 will be KLM, NIx, and Tuitt?
I'll eat crow now.
2 time POTW winner on some dates I can't remember from 2yrs ago at BNG,
POTW: 1/3/11- 1/9/11, 6/20/11-6/26/11
That's still a very solid DL that will help us win games. But KLM will be gone after this year and Lynch is a once in a decade talent.
I'm not usually judgmental of these kids making decisions but he gave his word when he signed that letter. What a spineless move.
That is true, but I think it was pretty clear that there was a lot going on with Lynch in his mom in terms of being torn over which school to attend. His recruitment was nothing short of a circus.
How could you have known? He left and then came back. At that point it looked like there would be no further problems.
I knew this thing wasn't going to be fixed with just a few days home with his mother
I love Lynch but what irks me is he is not consistent with decisions. First he flipped on ND then Fla St and now ND again. This is a character issue and now I dont see this looking good for career. What if he was drafted by Chicago or Cleveland would he just quit there too? The great thing is we have KLM, Tuitt, Day and a few others to soften the blow.
Big meanie Tate Nichols blocked him too hard in practice.
What a disaster, do these transfers EVER work out?
Les Mile should watch the press conference and take notes on how to deal with unexpected personnel loss.
Wait, do you mean trashing the kid when he leaves is not the appropriate protocol?

What are the exact reasons on why he is transferring?
