To Oregon. Best of luck to him. If he couldn't buy into the Irish now, he never would be able to. I'm just glad he didn't stay and take a spot from someone who really wants to be Irish.

He settled for gourmet baloney when he could've had New York Strip.
So I'm assuming they're letting him play TE? Either way, good luck to him.
Like seemingly every kid who bailed on ND because they wanted to play a different position, he'll probably play TE for a little bit at Oregon and then be moved to the position ND wanted them at.

Oregon uses tight ends?
I'm sure if ND kept him as a priority he would still be all Irish. It was as much Nd's decision as it was his to move on. I think once ND's class started to fill up and we were still in on all these "horses", we took a step back on Mattingly as well and didn't give him as much interest on purpose. Cause we knew he would then move on..and open another spot to use on a more impressive need/prospect. Just my two cents

Yes. There TE will be one of the Top TEs next year.
Yes, he will be. Saw on the Duck's site he's going to play LB..
Good for him. Happy he ended up at a decent school.
i kinda think so too that this is how it happened
I wish him the best.
GOD..COUNTRY..NOTRE DAME... THEN HUNTING
All the best luck to him.Think about something though, losing,a 4 star commit who could play multiple positions would have us jumping off roofs in past years..Kelly has us looking to what stud he will fill the open spot with.ND is not a one year wonder ,Kelly and staff are really getting it done on and off the field.
