OK weigh in! Baylor is 1 and ND is 2. Do they rank UCONN 3 or 4?
Psdo and I went back and forth on this on another thread. You can make a case either way. Stanford has the better record and beat Baylor. However, UConn trampled Stanford. Personally, I think it will be dictated by politics, and whether it's more important to have the possibility of an ND-UConn rematch in the semis, or a Baylor-ND final. This is a rare opportunity for the sport to have a charismatic figure like Skylar to match up with either the incredibly talented Griner, or with UConn, who probably has the largest following in the game. I think they'll roll the dice, and give UConn the 3 seed, and hope the Irish beat them once more, and set up the final with Baylor, assuming they, too, run the table. However, any one of them, including Baylor, could stub their toe along the way.
I may not be pretty, but I'm fast.....
POTW 1/31/11 - 2/6/11
I think they put Stanford 3. Stanford beating Baylor will cancel out their loss to UCONN. Then take the 2 loss team over the 4 loss team. However your "politics" point is well taken.
Are the seedlings Sunday night as well?
