Watching Eddy Lacy play actually gets me excited for Greg Bryant. I see so many comparisons between the two in which they don't have blinding speed but do such a good job at making quick cuts in between the tackles to gain solid yards.
And the size!!!!
Yea Greg Bryant is built to play college ball right now. I cant wait until he gets in a college weight room.
Jamel James was probably a more similar back.
It is a mentality though. Bryant certainly has the size to get downhill, although not 230+ like Lacy.
Bryant is not as big as lacy. That was clear from watching the army game. Need a back as big and tough as hughes
Elijah Hood also reminds me off him.
William Mahone is similar in size and speed.
Mahone looked kinda small at the banquet
Mahone is a couple a cycles of steroids away from being Lacy's size. It is obvious ND does not venture down that road but I know from first hand experience several SEC schools do.
The fact is Bryant will be bigger after two year or three years as I saw his projected size as 225 pounds. The fact is if we get blockers like Bama had any back we have will do good. Many times those guys were 5 yards downfield before they were touched.
Lacy was 5'11" 210 pounds with 4.4 speed when he was recruited. I would say Hood is exttremely similar and he I think we will be in good shape for him . Bryant is not that much smaller so the 225 size is quite possible.
