Let's face it, none of us know how good Gunner is, yet. Will he be Golson's back up ? Could he be a superior talent and pass Golson ? It will be interesting this spring and we should get an idea then. What surprises me is the number of people on the board who give him no chance without knowing anything about him ? Time will tell.
Also, on IFR's post about Gunner, there is talk about Hendriks transferring and I am wondering why no discussioin of the possibility or even probability of Tommy R transferrring ?
I can maybe see hendricks transferring to a GOOD school. I dont see Rees going anywhere though. He is a bedrock for us. And he might even have some more chapters left, albeit small ones.... IMO
I think Gunner is number #2 this year and both Rees & AH transfer after next year with 1 year left. yes I'm aware TR has played 3 years to date

Rees isn't going anywhere.
If Rees transfered he would have a hard time starting anywhere else.
Rees was quoted on WNDU yesterday basically saying he's all ND. With only one year of eligibility left its better to stick at ND and then start his coaching career.

If I'm CBK my roster would look like this
2nd String Backup: Kiel
3rd String Backup: Hendrix
4th String Backup: Massa
Then I'd redshirt Rees & Zaire
After next year Hendrix, Rees, and Massa would all have the option to go play somewhere else or ND can keep 1 or 2.
HUH???? Rees transfers after next year with one year left?? So you think he redshirts in 2013? Even if he didnt play a down for ND in 2013 (which I highly doubt would happen) I cant see him looking to play somewhere else in 2014.
Irish Oak in Chicago
I honestly feel Rees stays and becomes a GA at ND. He could be the next great coordinator in college football ALA Applewhite and Kingsbury.
