A. Finish unbeaten at home.
B. Beat USC.
C. Sweep Michigan and Michigan State for the first time since 2004.
D. Land Ryan Green, Jaylon Smith and Isaac Rochell.
C because Muck Fichigan
Beat USC..I would love for ND to be the only team that beats them and ruin their chances for a title run. I feel if we beat USC we will get some top recruits.

wow thats a tuff one C. i cant stand michigan hate them more than anything in this world same with state.
3 time POTW
I think I go with D, because they have the potential to help us do A, B, & C for 4-5 years... And we aren't winning the BCS this year anyway.
Gringo Mafia Strength Coach
I am along the same mindset, I feel accomplishing D would take care of C and maybe more.

I may not be pretty, but I'm fast.....
POTW 1/31/11 - 2/6/11
Beat USC!!!!!!!! Always over any recruits. Those 3 are #46, #48 and #135 in ESPN's Top 150, its not like landing 3 top 10 kids or even Top 20.

Beat USC because that would probably mean that the team is getting better as the year moves on. USC will start the season very highly ranked and will probably still be there when ND plays them in L.A. That will be a big time and meaningful win and probably represent that ND had a very good season leading into the last regular game of the season....including win(s) and against UM and/or MSU.
t this pioint, it looks like ND has a real good chance at getting Smith and Rochell. Missing on Green would not be a big thing in the greater scheme of things.
Being unbeaten at home would not be a big deal if we loose to MSU, Okla and USC....maybe Miami.
I would pick A, go unbeaten at home. The bonus is that Michigan is home. It's also when most recruits are taking their official so it will help recruiting. It also guarantees a pretty good season. 3-3 on the road gets us to 9-3, which I think would be worse case if we are unbeaten at home.
C only adds a guarantee over Michigan State, B is a nice win but not as important as a strong overall season and home win over Michigan is just as important, and D would be nice but we get recruits all the time that don't translate into great seasons.

Im going to go with A, beating USC, Mich, and St. would be great but protecting our home turf is important. I wouuld bet if we are winning at home we bring a lot of momentum on the road games and win those as well.
Beat USC for a number of reasons, not the least of which is I'll be there.
A. Quantitatively, this makes the most sense. A guaranteed 7 wins (I include Miami since we're technically the home team), including quality wins over UM, Stanford, and Miami, is better than I expect, currently. Even if we only beat Navy and BC on the road, we're 9-3: at or above most ND fans' expectations. I think we're likely to "upset" one of MSU, OU, or USC. This would give us a 10-2 record and a likely BCS appearance. If that happens I like our chances to sign all three in D, along with some other studs. Heck yeah I'd take that.

This is a no brainer for me. C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I live in the Great Lake State and have to put with fans, espec. michigan fans, who are very jealous of ND.
Beat both mich. and MSU in the same season and, historically, very good things happen for ND Football.
Beating both the above schools in any sport makes my life much more enjoyable.
Great post Lou.
B because it would mean a two game winning streak in the Coliseum and a win over a probably top 10-15 team and another win over our biggest rival.
My luck w/the Irish 20-6...GO IRISH!!!
I can't handle another year of losing to UofM. To win all of our home games to me would be the best thing for this program of the options that you presented. I will pick A.
