Can anyone give an update how he has adapted to football? Did anyone notice him in the blue/gold game? Haven't heard anything since spring ball started. Does anyone think he has a chance to see the field for playing time?
I did, noticed he had decent blocking skills, kinda lacked speed, but he is probably still transitioning IMHO of course

Brooks is the No. 4 tight end, behind Troy Niklas and then the tandem of Ben Koyack and Alex Welch. If one of them gets injured, he could be the next option so that a year of eligibility can be preserved for the two freshmen, Mike Heuerman and Durham Smythe. He will need to progress overall to earn that role.
In the Blue-Gold Game, we also saw Brooks line up in the slot, but that's not unusual. Koyack also lined up in the slot occasion and, as you know, Eifert was moved around a lot last year. The slot is sort of a wild card position in the offense, but the top bets there would be a rotation with Amir Carlisle (also at running back), Daniel Smith and C.J. Prosise.
