At a popular bar with a very young crowd with coworkers, noticed Kevin Sumlin, coach of TAMU, standing at the bar, surveying the crowd. I approached, shook his hand and congratulated him on his season. He immediately told me he was taking pictures and my girlfriend shouldnt have ever asked him earlier. "Excuse me, my girlfriend? I dont have a girlfriend". Since I'm weirded out, I step to the side and look at my phone, slightly out of embarassment. As I look up, he is staring right at me and says, "better not be tweeting anything either." Me: "Sir, I'm not tweeting anything. I dont even know how". KS: "I saw you doing it right now". Me: (holding up my phone screen) "No just sending a text. I went to Notre Dame, I understand how twitter can cause problems". He shakes my hand and I walk away. He didn't seem drunk, but there was something incredibly odd about this guy, as in I wouldn't trust this guy in my house. A bunch of people thought he looked like he was on cocaine. idk.
I realize this may be judgmental but why is 50 year old man with a wife and 4 children hanging out at a bar/club full of early-20 somethings at 1 am in Houston on a Monday night? I can't imagine Brian Kelly doing the same.
What a Clown. He fits in good in the SEC.

recruiting according to the new rules...
Should have got a pic.
He was probably recruiting for something completely different

Maybe meeting up with Petrino for some (volleybll) player evaluation..
Dude you ruined his game.
You should edit this slightly (remove ND references) and post on TaMU 247 site. See the sh!t storm it generates. Or not. Maybe situation normal for Sumlin.

LOL +1 Dave!
So Halcyon11......did you go ahead and take to twitter right after? What a clown. Obviously the guy realizes he shouldn't be there. The combination of Sumlin and Johnny Football sounds like a ticking timebomb.
That would be hilarious... They would get really bent out of shape quick!! Minimum 150 down votes though!! Just walk away..
I tried looking for my twitter password for an acccont I set up years ago, but to no avail. Too late now.
Not sure I believe this story. How can you prove it's true? Is this a hoax?
Even if i edited the post to omit ND references, will they be able to track my Notre Dame posts? I will do this, as long as it doesn't generate any backlash on our boards. I try to keep my interactions with Aggies to the minimum.
Haha. It is an odd story. A few details, he was at Midtown Drinkery in Houston. He wore a sportcoat with slacks. Two older guys in Aggie polos stood very close to him, almost shielding him a bit from the crowd. But he was near the door to the patio, so that's I was able to approach so easily.

Official thorn in JSapp's side
There is no mystery here. He was looking for young women, and didn't want any hassle or publicity about the process. I bet his wife had no idea where he was which is why he wouldn't any social media posts or photos. Many coaches do this exact thing. Many.
I love the idea of posting this everywhere you can.
3 time POTW;
If what you are saying is true, people in Houston would have reported seeing Sumlin. I live in Houston and there is no possible way that Sumlin could go to a 20 something club unrecognized. There are a shit load of Longhorns down here and they would be all over that. Cool story bro!
