BlueandGold.com can confirm via multiple sources that linebacker Alex Anzalone has notified Notre Dame of his intentions of enrolling at Florida this weekend instead due to the recent news on Brian Kelly and his interview with the Eagles.
We're checking for more information from the Anzalone camp now and hope to have more.

Well, the meltdown begins again. I thought it was over last night. I said last night that the timing was just awful for Kelly to do this and I guess I was right. We can only hope that AA is the only one. This is a definite blow.
Wow. This is just plain horrible news. Someone needs to make a public statement here.
And so it begins. We can't win for losing.

I'm sorry, but he was just looking for a reason.
Get this Kelly mess cleaned up fast, and move on Hollins and Prevot.
I may not be pretty, but I'm fast.....
POTW 1/31/11 - 2/6/11
Like I said BK needed to squash this last night if he had no intentions of leaving. I doubt this will be the only kid we lose from this fiasco.
Two time Poster of The Week, 2011 and 2013.
Big blow but not much you can do. Wish the kid best of luck. He was unsure a few times so at least he got to change before enrolling. There are others on the board to try to get to fill his spot. Sucks to lose such a good prospect but it is what is
This isn't a math test, passion has a funny of trumping logic.
Anzalone quote to me after the BCS Game:
"It was tough to watch. I don't think it will have any impact on recruiting. ... I texted all the commits last night saying that this isn't going to happen to us again because we're going to be on a mission from day one."
Florida guy on another board was claiming this a long time ago.
Anzalone's father is a tool bag and has been working on this for a while.
Statement needed to be made last night or first thing this morning.
I'm only speculating but... perhaps this was gonna happen anyway and the BK interview just provided an easy opening.
He was just looking for an excuse, anyway.

If it was really BK's status he would have held off on enrolling early and waited for the dust to clear before making a decision.
My luck with the Irish: 4-5, 3-time POTW
Agreed. But it's hard to blame the kid. Opposing coaches are telling our recruits "how can you commit to him when he isn't even committed to you or ND?"
Obviously BK knew Monday night that he was interviewing the next morning. Might explain his sarcasm during the halftime interview.
My luck w/the Irish 20-6...GO IRISH!!!
