Not sure if this has been posted or not. All the talk about Randolph made me think about one of the more unheralded (relatively speaking, of course) LBs in this class.
Such a fluid athlete with a great frame. I feel bad for this other team; you get the sense they had no business being on the same field with Mattingly's team.
Gringo Mafia: Black Ops & 'Family Recruitment'
Official thorn in JSapp's side
Thank you for posting. I truly think that Mattingly is an underrated prospect who could become a very good player with some added weight. I was listening to a recruiting analyst from TOS talk about the Randolph pickup and when he said that Randolph made it a 4-man LB class and he named everybody except for Mattingly I found it pretty sad. Granted, Mattingly's profile on that site does have him as a tight-end, but recruiting analysts should know that he will play LB for ND. I am SO excited about this LB class and this class as a whole, BK is really showing that he knows how to recruit and he has a great eye for the type of talent ND needs under his system. I am pumped about the next few years.
Can you imagine this group in their senior year. Possibly unscoreable on.
Unable to watch right now, but I've seem Mattingly updates on twitter and the kid is a playmaker. Last week he had a few tackles and INT. I don't see coverage skills being a concern should he stay at LB..
