I have been a member of a few of these type sites for some years now and never lasted long on any.I will not mention them it really does not matter. They all consist of a small group who pat each other on the back and attack or dismiss any other opinions.Last week I had back surgery the surgeon said it I had a severe Disc herniation,The doctor is the best and I know I will be fine, but the pain for the first week or so post op is excruciating. The reason I bring this up is this board and staff have been a great distraction from the pain.Since I joined I have been pleasantly surprised by tone of the board. For the most part even people who disagree with a point do so without going over the top.Good points that are made are appreciated. And those who deserve to get hammered ,get hammered, like the fire Kelly guys from early in the season I have had a tough couple weeks. For the first time I could only watch while my boys put up the Christmas decorations.I really missed not being out there with them.As you can see I have time on my hands and cabin fever is setting in.Anyway just wanted to point out and thank the staff and board for the great site that a big ND fan can enjoy.and help the time go by.
Thanks for choosing BGI. Sorry to hear you're laid up for a while. Take it easy for the next few weeks; you'll need to be strong enough for Jan. 7.
new era irish,
Greatly appreciate the support and hope you are well soon — and don't throw out the back in about a month.
Thanks for the kind words and get well soon!

Gringo Mafia VP of Guinness Intake, once drank Guinness under the table while drinking Guinness with Guinness! POTW 12/24/12 and 7/8/13
New Era, hope you are dancing up a storm very soon.
I may not be pretty, but I'm fast.....
POTW 1/31/11 - 2/6/11
Completely agree. For the most part the members here are very embracing as long as you are not an a$$hat. And a$$hats are quickly called out for being...well, an a$$hat.
The staff is second to none, and the regulars here have great opinions even if I don't agree with them all the time. Besides, we do have IFR, the weekly humour writer of the ND fans, and he is the best.
Here's to hoping you are up and around soon and to a full recovery!!!
Glad you're back!!! (clever eh?)
