The contract was signed and announced today. ND has some limitations that the other partners (SEC, B10) do not. ND can only play in the Orange Bowl no more than 2 times in the next 12 years, while the SEC/B10 team must play at least 3 times. ND also will get "significantly less" money than the $27.5m that the SEC/B10 will receive.
I would love to see us broker another deal with the Cotton or Fiesta Bowls for the other 10 years that we cannot play in the Orange Bowl.
The Atlantic Coast Conference and the Discover Orange Bowl have finalized a 12-year deal placing the ACC champion annually in the bowl against either an SEC or Big Ten team, or Notre Dame, starting Jan. 1, 2015.
My luck w/the Irish 20-6...GO IRISH!!!
But can't ND be chosen as the ACC rep?
Since we are not a football member, no.

With the deal with the ACC, ND was to have access to the Orange Bowl through the ACC's spot in the game so I'm not sure how that will work under that deal. It reads as if ND would be playing the ACC representative which is completely different than ND's deal with the ACC.

POTW - a couple of times, can't remember the exact dates
3 time POTW
Not only is it not great, it is actually bad. This is not good enough for us in the years we are not top 4. And don't be fooled we aren't going to be top 4 every year folks.
3 time POTW;
If ND loses a game THIS year, God forbid, I doubt we'll be in the top 4.
A one-loss SEC team will pass us up.
