Ill be the one to ask. Is this a bad sign for landing EV?
In my opinion I don't think it matters because if he waits the press conference would have to be at 8 o'clock and I don't see how that makes sense one way or the other.

I dont think it matter either. But I figured I would go ahead and ask the question evryone is thinking. Personnally, I think its 50/50 between us and Bama. We'll keep our fingers crossed. Elite class wether we get him or not. If we landed J. Smith, Bryant and Redfield on NSD evryone would say this was the greatest class ever. Its funny how we are as recruiting fans. We want the kids to commit early, not make a sound and when that happens, we tend to put them out of our minds. Great class by all standards

No, the school press conferences announcing the class are normally done in the afternoon. If Eddie Vanderdoes did go with Notre Dame during his announcement later in the day, I'd expect it to be a press release type of addition to the class.
The first Wednesday of February is the earliest a recruit can submit his LOI -- the deadline is April 1.
Great observation, slim. Timing is critical to perception in recruiting. If ND comes up empty on Wednesday, people will still be pleased but also with a sense of resignation that "ND rarely does well on signing day." It may be true, but they sure did pretty dam well on many other days this year.
I may not be pretty, but I'm fast.....
POTW 1/31/11 - 2/6/11
Jason, did I read correctly that Bivin is signing at 4pm EST and therefore will not be part of Kelly's press conference?
