Irish pledges commits Jaylon Smith, Alex Anzalone, Hunter Bivin & Cole Luke among Top100 on newly-released 2013 rankings.
I'm not smart enough to figure it out on my own, but did more of our guys move up than down, and if so does that mean out team ratings got that much better?

Would be great to know what they were ranked before today's new rankings.
I agree. for all of them who were already in the top 100, i don't think they moved that much, but what about the guys further down? I'm partiuclarly curious about Steve Elmer. He was top 10 last year, kept dropping like a stone all spring and summer, then gets names Michigan player of the yeat as a lineman! His composite shows that 247 has him rated way too low.
How can they keep him down? Just craziness I tell ya.
From what I can remember, it seems like Jamal James and James Onwalu both went from 4 to 3 stars.
just no love for Steve at 247 or ESPN for some reason - Scout likes him and Rivals loves him - but it is all irrelevant at this point but every other place has him pretty high. Just the way it works I guess.
Cant do any more from is end - went to every high end camp except the Rivals 100 and excelled at every one of them last summer - made every dream team in the state - including the Detroit papers - and was AP player of the year for the two biggest divisions in MI HS - an award that is usually reserved for hot shot QB's or RB's.....only thing left is to dominate at the Army Game and he will have had a clean sweep from his end.
He' s been taught to do his best and forget the rest and that is wheere this sits now!
Well said Mr. Elmer.. Rankings are meaningless. He's still a top-10 player in my books. He will go to the Army game, dominate, and then enroll at Notre Dame in January and prepare to contribute early and often come fall time.

It'll be fun to see Notre Dame's class ranking when the Irish add #44 Max Redfield, #85 Alquadin Muhammad, #116 Tarean Folston, #130 Greg Bryant and possibly such names as #12 Eddie Vanderdoes, #27 Mackensie Alexander, and/or #31 Laquon Treadwell depending on what happens with Mattingly and James.
Steve has been the rock that this class was built on. He will be a great lineman and part of the Glue that will hold this class together
Granted he 'only' plays tight end but OJ Howard is an absolute beast...even 17th doesn't seem high enough!
