The 2013 College Football Hall of Fame class was announced Tuesday morning and there were no Notre Dame players among the 12 former player inductees. Aaron Taylor, Rocket Ismail and Bob Crable were all candidates.

Those that made the cut:
And for those of you who have been to the old South Bend location of the hall, here's a look at what the new building will look like when it opens in Atlanta. It's a bit snazzier.
Slated to open in the fall of 2014, the new College Football Hall of Fame will be a 94,256 square foot facility adjacent to the Georgia World Congress Center and
Two coaches, Bill McCartney (Colorado) and Wayne Hardin (Navy/Temple), also were inducted.
Can you imagine how thin it's going to get once we enter the daviehamweis era?

Wasn't expecting any this year after Dave Casper made it last year. There was a string of five in six years with Joe Theismann (2004), John Huarte (2005), Chris Zorich (2007), Lou Holtz (2008) and Tim Brown (2009) before a two-year lull and then Casper.
It does speak to how hard it is when two-time consensus All-Americans such as Crable (1980-81) and Taylor (1992-93), who also won the Lombardi Award, get bypassed as does one of the most electrifying figures ever in college football, 1990 Walter Camp Award winner Ismail.
Might be "due" for another one in 2014, and no later than 2015. Since 1958, there has never been a gap of more than three years of a Notre Dame player getting inducted into the Hall.
I expect eventual Hall of Fame members to be Ismail, Taylor, Crable, Lyght, Stonebreaker and Samardzija. Golden Tate could be on the fringe too.
Quinn, Shark, Tate, Teo, & Eifert are HOF worthy IMO.

Do you think any of the players listed above are more worthy than the trio this year that did not get in (Aaron Taylor, Rocket Ismail and Bob Crable)?

Quinn cannot be in the Hall of Fame as he was not a 1st team All American on any team. Te'o will be in, how could I forget!!
