Greenberry, Darby, Shepherd, Lynch. The Irish football program is continuing to sink in terms of its relevance. Face it everyone, it's not 1993 anymore. I've been following the football team for 40 + years, and it has just been so depressing the last several years. And now we're hearing Rees is the best of the 4. Could it get any worse?

Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
Opinions are like you know what. And this opinion is pure BS. I have followed ND football since 1947 and feel that qualifies me to make this statement..
When you mention college football, the first team that comes to mind is Notre Dame. Plain and simple. We might be in a rebuilding thing, but to say the program is a shambles is totally wrong. And for someone that purports to be a fan for 40 some years to say that shows me that they are not a true fan at all.
A true fan sticks with their team thru thick and thin, good and bad.
I truly believe that before I leave this earth, I will see more national Championships at ND. And I will be 72 years old next month.
Nuff ranting I guess, but God bless this country and God Bless Notre Dame

Every year students transfer because they realize they picked the wrong school for a number of reasons. That's what happened with Lynch and Shephard. Let's not make this into something bigger than it is. It's tough because we expected big things from both of these kids, but let's move on. No reason to hammer Lynch and call him a thug, etc. He handled this as well as he could. He tried sticking it out and was miserable so he left. End of story.

100%. I respect the heck out of the kid for making the decision. There is no point in sticking around if you are going to be unhappy because then your grades slip, your performance slips, and you damage relationships. There's absolutely nothing wrong with pursuing happiness. Good luck Aaron Lynch. I wish I was going to be in Tampa long enough to watch you play here.
