We're about three minutes from the tip between the Irish and Owls. Updates can be found here throughout the game.
Sounds like Sherman is getting the start in place of Grant. It doesn't appear Grant is injured (he's warming up right now). Might just be to get the sophomore guard's attention after an up-and-down start to the year.
I will be checking in wes, since game isn't on tv and i hate watching on the computer, lol.
Two time Poster of The Week, 2011 and 2013.
Mike Brey and Kennesaw St. head coach Lewis Preston, a former Irish assistant, pose for picture before tip.
Three straight triples gives Notre Dame a 16-9 lead over Kennesaw St. with 12:20 to go in first half. Connaughton has hit two of them. Grant and Biedscheid check into the game for Sherman and Cooley.
Connaughton has 8 of team's 16 points. Irish lead 16-13 with 11:06 left in first half. Kennesaw St. on the line to try and finish off a 3-point play.
Biedscheid turnover leads to Kennesaw St. dunk. Irish up 20-16.
Sherman replaces Biedscheid, who gets some instruction on the sideline. Looks like Biedscheid is ready to check back in.
A few seconds after he goes in, frosh F Zach Auguste completes a 3-point play to give Irish a 26-16 lead.
Auguste finishes break with a two-handed jam, then grabs a defensive board on the other end.
Wes, are we playing sloppy again?
Atkins has six assists first 12:18.
Notre Dame led by as many as 14 but late Kennsaw State push, including a 3-pointer at the horn, makes it a 34-28 game at intermission.
Atkins, Grant, Cooley, Connaughton and Martin in to start the second half.

No way we should be this close with this team.
Notre Dame on an 8-2 run to open the second half and leads 42-30 with 15:47 to play.
Irish went 5-for-9 from deep in the first half but have missed all three attempts so far in the second half.
Biedscheid 3-pointer pushes Notre Dame lead to 53-33 over Kennesaw State with 11:42 to play.
Ten turnovers through 32 minutes, which isn't great. It just looks like ND doesn't have its legs. It is the third game in five nights and there is another one Friday. They just need to get through this stretch and then they have over two weeks off.
Jerian Grant fouled hard (undercut) on a dunk attempt and hits the floor hard. He eventually gets up and leaves the court with medical staff favoring his left leg. Very scary moment.
For the record, I predicted an 83-55 Irish win. it is 85-55 with 40 seconds to play. So close.
Game over. Irish win 85-57.
Glad to see Auguste in there playing with some confidence. Very bright future for him
A much better second half. I hope Grant is ok. Wes, i think you are right, they are probably a little leg weary and could use some rest. One more game until league play begins.
Mike Brey said guard Jerian Grant has a bruised back and will likely sit out Friday against Niagara.
It sounds like he should be alright long term, thats good news.
