Just finished up Senior Day ceremony and we're about a minute away from tip-off. I'll be providing updates throughout the game.
Cooley, Knight, Connaughton, Grant and Atkins starting for ND per usual.
Pointer, Sampson, Branch, Obekpa and Greene starting for SJ.
Grant pull-up jumper off a steal gives ND a 2-0 lead at the 18:20 mark.

Irish in man defense.
Neither team could hit the ocean from a boat right now. Irish up 4-2 at the 15:10 mark.
Weather isn't great, and there were probably a lot of students here for the women's game last night, but this crowd isn't impressive for the final home game of the year.
Knight jumper gives Irish 6-4 lead at the 14-minute mark.
SJ up 8-6 coming out of the timeout with under 12 to play in the first half.
Auguste reverse stops SJ run. Red Storm up 16-12 with 7:07 to go.
We must win this game, not a good start.
Two time Poster of The Week, 2011 and 2013.
Strong defensive rebound by Auguste and Grant hits a 3-pointer on the other end to regain a 19-18 lead with 4:44 to go in the first half.
Not a strong finish to the half. Grant misses a couple layups and SJ gets a 3-pointer to go up 26-19. But Atkins connects on a triple in the final seconds to stop the bleeding. St. John's enters the break with a 26-22 advantage. Probably should be a much bigger lead.
I can't believe we are one of the 38 best at-large teams in the country. THIS is not a tournament team no matter how Brey spins it.
Wes, why did Brey take Knight out after going 2 for 2 in the first 5 minutes? He saw 2 more minutes of court time. Also if we are not athletic enough to go man to man, we better play zone a whole lot better than that.
If they don't win tonight and lose to the cards we will need to win one , maybe two games in big east tourney to get in. This team is not a lock for the dance. They need this tonight.
Notre Dame shot 27.6 percent (8-for-29) from the field and 27.3 percent (3-for-11) from 3-point land.
Jerian Grant scored 10 points, Eric Atkins added five and Tom Knight had four.
The Irish had five turnovers and outrebounded SJ 20-18.
St. John's shot 41.4 percent (12-for-29) from the floor and 1-for-4 (25 percent) from behind the arc.
JaKarr Sampson and Phil Greene both scored six points for the Red Storm.
St. John's committed six turnovers and outscored ND 14-4 in the paint.
Probably see more zone in the second half. I'm not sure why Knight was pulled.
If Brey is going to live or die with Connoughton, he gets what he deserves. Is that the new plan now, replace the whole front line after 6-7 minutes every game? Terrible coaching and this is why this program is stuck in neutral.
The women showed twice the courage, perseverance, and frankly talent. This team is a reflection of their coach: meek, clueless and lost.
Cooley gets first bucket of the game coming out of halftime.
This is a St. Johns team without it's leading scorer. Do the guards just have the green light to do whatever they want or is there a game plan?
Almost time to get the front line out of there.
Well, anyone else need some coffee?
We had better change the arc on our shots or find a midrange game because we are getting nothing inside.
Knight ties it up at 30-30 and crowd finally getting into it.
Nice little run there by the Irish. Cooley 3-point play extends lead to 41-32.
