After landing five-star defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes, Notre Dame finishes No. 3 in the 247Sports Team Ranking:

Stanford sure had a poor recruiting class.
Given the situation at Penn State, do you think they did pretty good coming in at # 26?
We're al just dust in the wind.
And Boston College is all the way down at # 91 . . . wow!

How does this work with ND ending up behind OSU? You take OSU's class, subtract one 3-star, then turn TWO 4-stars into 5-stars and that's ND's class. Surely upgrading two 4-stars to 5-stars is better than one extra 3-star, no? How does the math go?
I would NOT, I repeat, NOT trade this class for another one in the country. I'm of the personal belief that we landed the top all around class in the country and some arbitrary ratings by others won't impact my belief. That being said . . .
It isn't just stars they look at. On 247 they use their own player ratings. If you look at the two teams we have more extremely high rated players but OSU has more depth (at least according to the rankings). We have 10 players with a 94 or higher rating, OSU has 14. I assume that is what gives OSU the edge.
