Such desperate narcissism. A family trait, apparently.
Trail spinning double-talk and propaganda. Even a cursory rendering of this report, left me flabbergasted. The most insidious and odious of tricks is the "a 'nice guy' sex offender had us all fooled" defense [now being trumpeted by the lawyers for Curley, et al.]. According to this sham, people with a history of "moral conduct and altruism" [like ole JoePa] are just too pure of heart to know a predator when they see one. This is substantiated by a pedophilia expert. Well, let's find the psychiatrists who know exactly how "good members of the community" can find themselves complicit in conspiracy and cover-up of unimaginable evil. My word, we just need high school historians. Or Google! Look up Stanley Milgram Experiments.
We are all too good-natured to see evil?! [Ed. note: Go F*ck Yourselves!]
Freeh wasn't trying a case. He was giving PSU reasonable conclusions. That was his mandate. For those with faith in the legal system [which most certainly should never be blind], I am glad the courts are moving slowly on this, because I want the hammer to be deliberate and crushing in its finality. Furthermore, it's cruelly unfair that the old man cowardly checked out before facing trial.
Such desperate narcissism.
Just shameful by the Paterno family.
I live in State College - I can tell you this was the worst case scenario - everyone is angry and acting nuts over this....many of my friends who are PSU fans were just getting back to a normal pre-Spring year and The Paterno's decide to rip the scab off the healing wound....
It clearly had the opposite effect they were hoping for
1. I never understood why the Assistant Coach disappeared from sight. (Too great as a defensive coord)
2. I just found out yesterday that JoePa didn like him. Didn't know that.
3. #2 does not mean I defending JoePa.
Just stop already....JoPa is gone. There is nothing left to defend. Let the responsibility fall where it belongs and stop trying to defend the indefesnible...
LET'S GET IT ON!!!!!
Not directed at you-I was talkig to the Paterno family...
It amazes me that these family members bought into the Con that is their Dad.
It's crystal clear that Joe Pa had some roll in the cover-up.
I can't wait until he gets exposed.
