First defensive player to do it since Pitt's Hugh Green in 1980.
First ND player since The Rocket in 1990.
Unbelievable hardware haul. Five and counting for Manti, and he still could get the Maxwell and Bednarik tonight, porbably the Lott IMPACT on Sunday ... and maybe the Heisman on Saturday (although among Camp winners, Cam Newton is the only player the past 5 years to win both the Heisman and Camp).

What does this award signify?
The Walter Camp Player of the Year Award is given annually to the collegiate football Player of the Year, as decided by a group of NCAA FBS head coaches and sports information directors.
CMC - Director of Apparel Operations
POTW - a couple of times, can't remember the exact dates
The only bad news is that the Camp award and Heisman have only been given to the same person like 3 times I think.
Great to see our program picking up hardware all over the place. Of course the only real hardware we all want is the Crystal Football.
3 time POTW;
Congrats again! A great haul!
Two time Poster of The Week, 2011 and 2013.
Seems like there are 3 of these awards..... Maxwell, camp, Heisman. Why so many for the same thing?
Didn't Woodson win it?
The Walter Camp Award was created in 1967 to complement the Walter Camp All-America Team — the first All-America team formed in college football.
I guess if there are enough funds, various awards can be created for the same thing.
Manti joins Ken MacAfee (1977), Tim Brown (1987) and Raghib "Rocket" Ismail (1990) as the fourth ND recipient of the award.
Woodson won it in 1997.
What a well deserved run
He's a bad motha%#**£€!
"Defense only" is what I should have said for Green. Woodson also played on offense as a receiver and was a punt returner, which were huge tipping points in him winning the award.
Shut yo mouth!
