Is it possible to have a 35 or even 40 person class of commitments? Right now TAMU has 32 people on its commitment list and they are, from what I read, pressing for more commitments. Is there a level at which even the NCAA becomes embarrassed?
“Notre Dame? Relevant? Of course. Call me in 90 years, and I’ll give you the same answer.” Neal Pilson, former president of CBS Sports
Texas A&M is now in the SEC, meaning NCAA rules no longer apply.

Yes its possible for a team to have a 40 person class. If you're recruiting Juco's and HS Kids willing to enroll early you can take the difference of what you took last year (10 recruits) and 25 = 15. Plus this years cap of 25 for 40 kids. If you didn't take any recruits last year you could take 50 kids as long as 25 of them enroll early.
And I think you could probably go beyond that if you started to gray shirt kids.
And for SEC teams, multiply everything by 2...
What happened to the 25 rule the sec put on their conference. The sec has always been over-sighning but a few years back Old Miss had around 40 commits and the media was hammering them about grey shirts and over-sighning.
Didn't know the SEC had rules.
The rule doesn't take EE into account. They have 4 Prep/Juco kids which are probably EE's.
A&M took 20 kids last year assuming a few of those were EE. A&M should have some room. Plus just because they have 33 kids committed doesnt mean 33 will sign.
