ESPN The Magazine is putting out a special issue for its 15th anniversary this year and as part of that is look back on what has happened in sports during their time as a publication. One list they compiled is the 15 worst calls that have happened since then. Golden Tate lands at the very top of the list thanks to replacement referees and a Monday Night Football win this fall.
Notre Dame also gets on the list at No. 9 for one of the more memorable Irish moments in recent history. Can you guess?
In ESPN The Magazine's 15th anniversary issue, Mag 15, Doug Mittler presents the worst 15 calls over the last 15 years. Plus, check out exclusive galleries for more memorable moments in sports since 1998.
Two time Poster of The Week, 2011 and 2013.
Galarraga's call still makes me sick, and I'm not even a Tigers fan. He was completely robbed that day.
I agree 110% with this. It was so heartbreaking for an everyman pitcher. Would have been different if it was even moderately close, but man, come on.
How about the call in 2011 at home plate in the 18th inning when the Pittsburgh Pirates had the Alanta runner out by about 10 feet and was called safe, after that the Pirates lost 10 in a row.
I disagree with #14 on the Bradley-Pacquaio ruling.

To me Galarraga's call was the worst call of all time. That conclusively proves that MLB commissioner Bud Selig is the worst commissioner in the history of all sports. That call should have been changed.
The tuck rule game still haunts me to this day.
