Went down with what looks to be a knee and he looks to be in a lot of pain.
Trainers are with him now but been down for about 3 minutes so far.
Getting carted off now and it doesn't look good from here. In obvious pain.

tendon or muscle?
I tore my acl about 4 months ago and I will tell you a torn quad would be devastating and awful but nothing is worse then an acl
quad tears can be a lengthy recovery depending upon muscle or tendon; or the degree of the tear.
Hunter would likely have a RS year, so 18 months to recover and get at 100% strength. Getting at 100% strength is the part that consumes recovery time.
18 months????? That's would be awful and certainly worse than an acl
no, he has that much time to do so.
Full recovery is usually about 6 months, if I'm not mistaken. I think he's saying 18 months from the time he sees the field because he'll preserve a year of eligibility.
4-6 months is the last thing being reported. Should be ready for fall practice. I think we all need to take a deep breath and wait for the official report.
Tough break for him though, even at 4-6 months. He seems to have the talent to content for playing time next year and now he'll be spending this spring rehabbing rather than getting faster and stronger.
He will get slapped with a redshirt.
Quad tendon is a bigtime injury. I've had an ACL and its a toss up between the two.
Good thing for him he didnt commit to an SEC school, they would drop him in a heartbeat.
Is there a recent update on Hunter's injury? If I was able to cross my fingers, I would. Hopping this isn't debilitating.
