Personally, I see Carlisle starting in the slot for us, with Folston coming in to relieve him. I say Bryant secures RB 1 by mid-season and McDaniel gets the bulk of the back-up carries. I think Atkinson will be pushed as the kick returner, but will hold onto that job throughout the year. I think George runs too high and is more setup for succes as a straight away runner, not a quick cutter or an instinctive type running back. Maybe I'm putting a lot of stock in our two true Freshman. But is there a position where you see more true Frosh come in and absolutely dominate than the running back position? It's done year in and year out by elite backs...which I think ours are. One other possibility would be Amir starting at RB if Folston proves to be too good in the slot. Only time will tell. That's my predictions.
How about all of you? Lets hear it!!

I am thinking Carlisle. Not sure if it is because I think he is the best or if it is because it will annoy USC fans to see him excelling at ND.
Scored 4 touchdowns...in a single game. Polk High!
Cam is the man.
Remember you heard it here first.
I'm not blown away by any of the backs on campus, so I'm intrigued by Bryant as well. The big question mark there: is he effective in the passing game, both regarding protection and catching passes out of the backfield? I didn't think, and I still don't think that Theo Riddick was/is the better running back in terms of production on the ground (and the numbers support that), but he protected the passer well, and he creative matchup problems as a receiver out of the backfield.
The most complete offensive weapon appears most likely to play in the backfield in Brian Kelly's offense, even with Chuck Martin calling plays, and I don't expect that to change.
Barring injury I believe Atkinson will still be the starter, but Carlisle and Bryant will get their share of touches as well.
Atkinson at RB with Bryant and McDaniel coming in. Carlisle at slot with Prosise and Folston getting reps as well.
IFFF Atkinson holds onto the ball. Multiple fumbles and I can see either Bryant getting the majority of carries (or Cam, love that dude) OR Carlisle being switched over to RB and Folson and Prosise rotating at slot.
Greg Bryant and I say that with the caveat that I believe a healthy Amir Carlisle spends a lot more time in the slot as he appeared to be doing in the spring pre-injury

I'm gonna go with Cam to start, GA3 to get some touches along with Amir, but who knows between now and then anything could happen
