The 53-man Parade All-America team was in today's Sunday paper, and Irish recruit Deontay Greenberry was one of only six receivers to make the cut. Only Missouri's Dorial Green-Beckham — Parade's Player of the Year overall — rated higher among the receivers, which included local product Gehrig Dieter (SMU) as No. 4.
Numbers seemed to weigh heavily in the selections. The No. 1 QB was Ohio's Maty Mauk (Missouir), whose 18,932 career passing yards — breaking the 2002 national record set by brother Ben in 2002.
Arik Armstead was listed as the No. 1 lineman (offense or defense) among the 18.
