  • I was pissed when ND lost to Stanford... I was livid when ND lost to Navy. But tonight's performance against USF could honestly take the cake.

don't forget about how we just handed the game to Tulsa last year . . .

We're al just dust in the wind.

  • Pathetic. So disappointed. Not daynes fault at all. Very sloppy. Will never ever win against anyone with 3 turnovers inside the 10. Wow. Defense was solid. Didn't give up much but didn't make any plays either. USF made plays we didnt

THANK YOU! Finally. Dayne was not to blame. Yes, he made a few mistakes, but it's week one. I wasn't expecting perfection. However, there is no reason for drops, fumbles, muffed punts, and missed short FG's though.

  • Dayne failed to produce.

This boils down to production, and while there were certainly idiotic mistakes made by all, Dayne Crist consistently fails to produce.

Maybe he's awesome in practice, Mr. Popular in the locker room, and has the physical characteristics of an NFL-caliber QB, but for Christ's sake he simply can't get it done when we need it.

ONE bad play and he buckled after that opening drive. He is weak, and I genuinely hope they don't give him a 5th year because he simply isn't needed here.

  • What were his numbers? 9 of 15 for 80 yards with the pick? Okay, so the pick was on him. But he also had AT LEAST three balls dropped that would've been first downs. He was not the problem; The receivers not named Mike were.

  • He's the problem because his ONE saving grace as starting QB was his alleged leadership ability.

Had he rallied the troops, bolstered support from his offense, and came right back down the field to score, this dark cloud of bullshite that plagued our team all night wouldn't have lasted more than a few measly minutes.

Instead, he buckled under the pressure and his ineptitude only served to amplify our self-defeating nature the entire game.
