Few tune up games for ND early opponents

  • Michigan opens on the road in TX against Alabama, then faces Air Force, and UMASS the week before seeing the same spread attack with Brian Kellys Irish

    MSU has it a bit easier but still opens on Aug 31st against Boise State, then Central Michigan who is not a push over.

    If ND can survive expectations and win the first two games like they should they could be facing both Michigan teams with early season losses.

    Wouldnt it be nice if ND could finish September undefeated?

  • Is a wounded tiger more dangerous then a healthy one?

    Just because a team loses games does not mean they are weak..
    Someone pull up the MSU game last year
    Or Utah the year before that.
    I would rather have anyone we are playing to be undefeated
    1.) makes then more comfrontable and not so on edge about losing their first
    2.) looks better in the polls

    A common excuse ND fans have used is that their early season games have beaten them up by the time UM rolls around, while Big 10 foes generally start off with crappy directional schools.

  • No one gets beat up in the first 2 weeks of sept man. You get beat up in oct then feel it in nov.
    USF didnt beat us up.. Just wounded our pride and UM ... F**kem.. I do not like talking about QB's who can't throw and coaches who get lucky. Can't wait for the IRISH to kick their a** in south bend.
    That game will really be a turning point!
    It shows what BK has learned and what he can apply. Also how well our team can stand up under the lights if coming in 2-0 and people saying the "Irish are back"
    If we get through that game and MSU with everyone singing out praises I will be really impressed!!

    We play MSU before scUM under the lights, but I still want to torch them.

  • I thought we played UM before MSU.. My bad if I'm or wrong.. I thought it was NAVY Purdue then UM the air force then MSU .. Whoops..
