Rockne's Roundtable

When I was a freshman in Flanner Hall(when it was a dorm), our rector was Fr. Bill. Our interhall football coach suggested an old Fr. Bill play for our first defensive play...on the quarterback's first sound, the defensive tackle, nose guard, and inside linebacker all come off hard and nail the qb. Then, the whole defense points at the left guard. We got a false start call and got a free shot on the qb. Maybe a good way to break tension in an nc game. At worst, costs 5 yards. At best, intimidate the opponent and maybe get a 5 yard penalty. A little dirty? Maybe, but came from a priest so I think God would forgive us.
