Saw the news right before I got in the car to drive home from Chicago. Just a huge get for the Irish! It guarantees nothing but doggone it, this sure is sweet. I got in the car and told my wife, she gave me a high-five and said, "this is the guy you have been talking a lot about committing soon, right". I was so happy about the commitment but also very proud of my wife at the same time.
This is the one guy I have been so excited about in this class,now to have him is huge. To get this talent does change the perception of the program from the outside. But then for this talented a player to go out and turn into a big recruiter is even bigger. Go Jaylon spread the word about what the Irish can be. And we are awful glad to have you!

Huge Pickup! hopefully he will bring some major talent with him. Now lets not let him get away from us and fall into the category of Greenberry and Darby. I don't think he is like that but just got to make sure. The Irish are looking good!

Wow great recruit. I'm not worried about any of these recruits like last year. Are you guys feeling this? Feels like this class is out there recruiting within itself. Smith said yesterday that he called Brian Kelly on Friday to tell him the news -- and you could tell Mike Elston had a certain pep to his step throughout the day at the camp because of it.
The coaches can't comment directly on recruits until they sign, but needless to say Elston was smiling ear to ear about this one.
Smith was No. 1 on the recruiting board.

Ya I would say it is Hargreaves and Anzalone. Also a RB. Maybe Willis and Mcquay. There are lots of top prospects ND is after and there are many priorities.
