POTW 1/31/11 - 2/6/11
Hope he doesn't mind that weather...fingers crossed nonetheless.
Don't be fooled by the California address, Placer High School is in Auburn. He does experience some snow, just not as much as South Bend.

As usual, Ham brings the entree (IMO), please allow me to add a side dish...
I get that we're feeling ourselves, being 12-0 and all. But we really should take this a step at a time. We're late on the kid after his early commit, so let's see where we stand after Orgeron's visit today and his OV.
As is my wont, I like to throw out a little theory to be kicked around in these parts: I think we should also consider the staff's intentions instead of reading the kids mind. IMO, part of this late effort may involve the thought that "anywhere but SC" is just as good as a "yes to ND." What do I mean? The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Say the staff becomes convinced the kid isn't into ND. Think Elston and Denbrock wouldn't love to say "I get it, ND's not for you. You should give Lupoi a serious look, he's putting guys in the league. You'd like him" These in-homes and the visit give the staff an opportunity to build cache with the kid, and throw that out without sounding like they're negatively recruiting. I said the same thing about Meyer's hire at OSU; any kids he keeps from UM are kids we don't have to play against. And I know he's not against steering a kid away from his chief competition. I don't know about you guys, but personally, as long as ND doesn't have to face the kid 3-4 times that's a recruiting win to me. He's that good, I like others in this thread live near the kid and have seen him play. They've played good comp in the area; kid would be a beast.
Feel free to disagree/disavow me of my notions ()
